Commemorating the 75th Anniversary of D-Day

WWII Veteran Kenneth Rock Merritt is an American Paratrooper from the 508 P.I.R. of the 82nd Airborne. This interview takes place in La Fiere, Normandy, France. Rock jumped into Normandy during WWII for the D-Day invasion. The first person he encountered after his jump was an American Chaplain.

Rock commanded a heavy machine gun squad during WWII and also jumped for Operation Market Garden. Rock continues to this day to be the honorary Command Sergeant Major for the 82nd Airborne.
